A. Not only x, y is also a striking example

句式在寫作中非常重要，除了使用expect之外，還可以使用標題所寫的句式。

例子：

1. Not only is she intelligent, but her sister is also a striking example.（不僅她聰明，她的姐姐也是一個鮮明的例子。）
2. Not only did he win the race, but his teammate also achieved a striking victor（不僅他贏得了比賽，他的隊友也取得了一個顯著的勝利。）

B. With the exception of

With the exception of和except 有相似的意思，但是就是使用了名詞，而不是動詞，這個技巧在寫作中稱為nominalization，在學術寫作上尤為常見。

例子：

1. With the exception of Sarah, everyone in the class passed the exam.
   (除了莎拉之外，班上的每個人都通過了考試。)
2. He ate all the food on his plate, with the exception of the vegetables.
   (除了蔬菜，他把碟子上的所有食物都吃光了。)

C. nominalization

上一段提供的nominalization的中文叫作名詞化，在寫作中非常常用，以下給大家多一點例子。

1. The implementation of new policies led to a significant reduction in crime rates. 
2. The team's collaboration resulted in the successful completion of the project.
